An easy way to get creative in your wedding budget is to use the two-for-one method on some of your wedding needs. There are several wedding day services that can be used more than once on your big day. Keep reading on how to make your wedding decor & services do double duty!
Place Cards. A favorite with many brides is to get creative with place cards for their guests. We’ve seen maracas that were place cards, gifts, and the send off prop. Single potted mini succulents are popular and add a simple touch. Think about your style and theme to create something unique that helps set the wedding day vibes and can double as a guest gift or send off prop.
Bridal Party Bouquets. An easy cost saver that florists are happy to recommend is reusing the bridesmaids bouquets as reception centerpieces after the ceremony. It is as simple as letting your ladies know where their bouquet lands after pictures.
Photo Opportunities. Brides spend a great deal of thought and money designing their ceremony backdrop: floral installments, arches, macrame, candelabras, etc. If applicable, reuse these in your reception as a photo backdrop for your guests or behind your head table.
No Flip. For venues that require flipping the room, or perhaps as a backup rain plan, consider having your reception and ceremony in the same space. Make room in the reception hall for an aisle and altar area. Have guests find their seats at assigned tables. After the kiss and pronouncement, you can go right into your first dance! No need for people shuffling around the venue. This is an easy way to save time and you can spend your decor budget making the two-in-one space truly stunning!
Wedding Party Gifts. A longtime favorite wedding party gift is to purchase attire & accessories for your bridal party such as their dress and/or jewelry, bow ties and/or socks. These items work double duty as wedding day duds & thank-you gifts!
Guestbook/Photobooth. A fun, interactive idea is to have your photobooth double as your guest book. Guests have two prints made in the booth and add one to your guestbook. Leave a pen nearby for them to jot you a little congratulatory note.
